Aquaphor as baby moisturizer??

Hi all,
Our pedi keeps recommending that we use aquaphor to moisturize our 1 month old’s skin, but I am hesitant to do this. I am a little nuts about natural skin care and like to control as much of what goes in or on my body (and my baby’s body) as is possible.
That said, aquaphor is only chemicals, really, and the main ingredient is petrol. I’d prefer to stick with coconut oil or other natural moisturizers.
Curious to know what you all think! Have you used aquaphor on your babies, and if so, what were the results? Have you used organic/natural moisturizers, and if so, what is or was your favorite to use on your baby?

I only use aquaphor on my little guys butt when he gets red 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn’t use it as a body lotion though

We use it. They have a butt paste and then the clear aquaphor ointment. We also use it on her bottom as a barrier to keep the poop and pee so it’s not directly on her skin when she has a rash. We don’t use butt pastes or any other creams it’s a good all and one....

They have different ones but we also actually use this on our oldest skin when needed and ours as well. But if you didn’t want to use this you could use coconut oil instead.

I can’t imagine Aquaphor as a whole body moisturizer, it’s so sticky ew. I use it on diaper rashes and his eczema. For regular lotioning I prefer Dove baby, or rarely coconut oil.

Coconut oil works perfectly in my opinion. I've read it can decrease their risk of eczema in the future too because it mimics skin's natural oil. When baby has a really bad diaper rash though, I break out the aquaphor. It just works better for that in my opinion.

I tried to use coconut oil and Aveeno with my baby but really only aquaphor works with him! He has sensitive skin. I use it as a moisturizer for him in the AM and at bedtime. Works great

Our pedi (holistic pedi) suggests we use coconut oil for our little ones skin. And it has helped a lot! And I love it

let me just say, nipple butter, if you breast feed you probably have this lying around and boy oh boy is It great, you can use it on your hands or feet or legs or diaper rash, it's amazing for babies skin if it's dry, if you can find the lanolin free stuff then even better
