Eqidural or Natural?

Which way did you go and why?
I honestly have always said I want a natural birth, mostly because I’m terrified of 1. Getting the needle in my back & 2. Getting a catheter.
But on the other end I don’t know if I can handle it natural. I know everyone has a different pain tolerance. It’s a hard decision

I had my daughter naturally. The pain was indescribable. I am so proud of my body and felt empowered. I also had a very easy recovery because I had minimal tearing. BUT, next time I’m getting the epidural. 😂

I have to get an epidural, I'm hoping to go as natural as long as I can but with some health issues it would be easier for me to get it 😞 Wish I didn't have a jacked up body to do it naturally

Epidural.  I was afraid of both to buy they dont put the cath in until you're numb. The needle wasn't to bad. just discomfort.

Epidural. If I were getting a root canal, I wouldn’t go in and be like, “Let’s just see if I can handle the pain.” 
I mean, good on people who want to do it without medication.
Not for me.

I went natural but I have a high pain tolerance and the pain went away as soon as I had her so I don’t regret it !

I had natural both times. my first I had a water birth, the second time I couldn't.
if I have a third, and can't have a water birth, I'd have laughing gas, or something similar to ease the pain.

I went natural. I had decided that I wanted to try to go natural but if I needed an epidural I wouldn't beat myself up over it.  At one point I couldn't take the pain and asked for an epidural but when they checked me I was at 9.5 cm and my lo was born within 30 minutes. As soon as I was able to start pushing the pain was gone. I thought that pain after from the episiotomy was worse then labor.

I went natural with my first and plan on going natural again. The thought of being stuck on the bed when in labour sounds awful. Also, getting a huge needle in my spine and having a catheter doesn't sound appealing either.
