College Boyfriends?

Hey guys, just wondering. Any of you with boyfriends (or girlfriends) in college—how did you meet? How long have you been going out? How are you doing with balancing your relationship with everything else?

I met my fiancé during my freshman year of college, we’ve been dating for three years and will be graduating next spring :)

I transferred to a different university middle of sophomore year. The first night I moved into my new apartment my roommates took me out to meet all their close friends and he was there!! That night we clicked and have been dating for 5 months! Im very studious so we spend a lot of time studying together in the library when school picks up.. just make sure you have your priority’s straight so your grades not slip!!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 months now. I met him on social media. We go to 2 different colleges so when we're in school, we only can go out with each other once or twice a month but we FaceTime each other all the time. I manage school and my relationship by putting school first. When I need some quiet time to study, I don't call him until I'm done or I'm taking a break. Seeing him feels like a reward for finishing all my work.

My fiance and I met going into my 2nd year of univeristy and my finace was starting is 2nd year of univeristy, but he'd done a year of college after high school to boost his grades. (In Canada college is a lower level than univeristy and in the US college refers to what we call university usually). 
He was transferring from her pervious univeristy so he was at orientation where I was one of the leaders. We met at the bonfire night. I was trying to introduce a new student from my residnece hall to some people and he ended up in that group and we started talking. By the end of the night it was just the two of us talking and he ended up walking me home (not far considering the bonfire was behind the residneces). We took nearly that whole term to start dating actually and have now been together 5 1/2 years. 
Balancing school and a boyfriend was pretty easy for me. We'd get together 2-4 times a week and go for coffee, a meal or a walk usually. We kept it simple and just went out when we had time and weren't in class. On weekends we'd stay over at someone's place fairly frequently, but I was always mindful of my time because I did need to study. We'd also study together, especially around exam season. 
I ended up moving across the country the next academic year for vet school so we ended up long distance. That was a whole new ball game, but we made it work. He's now working as an engineer and I'm starting my residnecy (which means while I'm working full time I'm also working on my master's degree so I'm technically a student). Now it's a lot harder to juggle starting a life with him and my career/school. But it's all about time management. We communicate all the time- if I need to focus on school I tell him and he gives me space to do that, but if he tells me he feels like he's not getting enough out of the relationship then we find a way to fix that. Currently, we have date night once a week and we try to see each other for dinner a few nights a week unless I'm on call. Sometimes we get together on lunch breaks. We just find the time but still recognise that school is important and we can't get in the way of that. Just like we did when we first started dating. Its all time management.
