Truckers

I wasnt sure where to post this but I have some questions about having a family with a trucker. So long story short my SO and I have been living in my hometown where he has no family for 3 years and he is very home sick. His hometown is 4 hours away and my mom and her side of the family live there too. He wants to move back and I dont have a problem with that. The problem is its in the middle of nowhere and the only jobs there are are field work, factory work, gas stations, small stores, oil fields and trucking. Its cheap to live there but obviously there arent any good paying jobs besides trucking and oil fields. My SO was thinking of being a local truck driver so we can have our own home and he wants me to stay a sahm with just his income. So my questions are does your SO make enough money so you can be a sahm? How is it for you that he/she is gone away? Do you know what they had to do to become one? If not can you please ask them 😅 Lastly, how do they feel about their job? Any other info is greatly appreciated. ☺
