Helix Piercing Advice

I really want to get a helix piercing but I am not sure about it because of what people say about it. I hear that it gets infected very easily and takes forever to heal. I would get it for my thirteenth birthday but I’m hesitant because I’m not sure if the constant care for it is too much for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
