Miscarriages after IUD?

Question

I had an IUD as a teenager and suffer unexplained recurrent miscarriages (RPL). I have since learned that I am not the only one, and would like to get a poll on this!!!

Answer

I had a chemical miscarriage when I was 19. Then when I was 22 I had my first son, had my second son at 29. Got the mirena IUD a few years later and had it in for almost 3 years. Had it removed in December and found out I was pregnant last month and had a miscarriage 7/10 at 5w+4. I had read a lot online about the thinning of uterine lining from iud but when I had my ultrasound my lining was thick just no baby. So although it happened I don’t think the iud was the cause. I think it was my low progesterone.

I had an IUD for 5 years, and have experienced multiple miscarriages HOWEVER, keep in mind correlation does not equal causation. 
I firmly believe my IUD is not responsible for my miscarriages whatsoever. (Especially the miscarriage that was chromosomal problems with the baby) I would happily get another IUD in the future after our first baby.
