All of unique names but...

I'm all for unique/uncommon names for kids, don't get me wrong! I love that we aren't using the same 7 names over and over! But, on the same hand... why is it suddenly a trend to name girls with boy names, boys with girl names (Excluding gender neutral names of course)

, using crazy spellings that don't even make sense, using names that describe objects, directions, things, places ect (I.e. Lake, aqua, Chicago, Heaven, Bright, precious, Land, Wishing), and hyphening a name in the middle of it/using and apostrophe? No offence to anyone, your child, your name, your life, I'm not hear to judge you. I'm simply asking why it's a trend all of a sudden?
