Are plantation wedding offensive?
I live in Louisiana, and plantation weddings are extremely popular. A girl I’m friends with on Facebook posted about plantation weddings being extremely offensive and people shouldn’t have them there. It got me wondering if people are offended by these weddings. Given the history of plantations and slavery, it makes sense that some people wouldn’t want to have their wedding there.
So my questions are:
Do you think plantation weddings are offensive?
Are the people that have their weddings there racist or ignorant?
