Question: Induction
This may sound rude by the wording but I swear on everything I’m just curious as a first time mom:
Why do people ask WHY you’re getting induced?
Like if my Dr/Midwife tells me that I need to be induced isn’t that basically the end of it? No discussion needed?
I’ve measured 6 days behind consistently in every aspect of my pregnancy the whole entire 9 months (like I didn’t get a positive test until 6 days after my missed period) but my midwife didn’t change my due date because she says they only change it if it’s over a week difference.
I’m due the 22nd but she wants to induce me the 26th if baby hasn’t arrived on his own by then. But if I’m 6 days behind wouldn’t she be inducing me before I’m even a whole 40 weeks?
I really like my midwife and trust her but I’m also a younger (20) FTM so I’m just curious about how that works!
I’ve researched induction and I’m now way more scared and nervous about having a 60 hour labor 🤦♀️
Is being induced frowned upon? I just want opinions and insight please 💙
