Is it okay to take extra clomid?

So I ovulated and got pregnant on 50mg of clomid. Sadly I had a blighted ovum & lost the pregnancy. 
We’re trying again this month and I’m on 50 again. 
I’m three days into taking it and went to pick up other meds, the pharmacy accidentally gave me extra clomid.
Im tempted to double up my last two days to try to stimulate more follicles. 
Should I???

Yes people can be started off at 100mg but for a reason. If you were started on 50mg please finish your round with 50. As a medical professional it would not benefit you to take more than prescribed. If you ovulate on 50mg that means it works for body. Why give yourself a higher dosage when it’s not needed? Good luck!

They started me off @ 200mg. However i think it’s best if you listen to what the doctor recommends. They considered some factors before giving me such a high dose. It can cause thinning of the uterine lining and for said person to overproduce. I would listen and take what you were proscribed 😊

I’m on 100mg and got 3 mature follicles. IUI is tomorrow. This is my 1st cycle and went straight to 100mg. Never even discussed a lower dosage. It’s not bad. Ovulation cramps are intense but overall not unbearable. Now I wouldn’t take like 200mg but 100mg is not unheard of

No. It could thin your lining way too much or overstimulate your ovaries. Your doc gave you that dosage for a reason.
