Measurements and days?

I’m confused a little.. I’ve seen people commenting on things about how their baby is measuring either bigger or smaller then the days count. I was just wondering that isn’t the measurements going to be the correct numbers to go off? (Example: I go for ultrasound at 7w6d and when I get my ultrasound baby measures at 8w4d)

They use your missed period to determine due date , the baby can grow at different rates , if your over a week or so the doctors may change he due date but normally u go off of last cycle

For me, my second daughter matched up perfectly with my LMP date at my first scan (7 weeks). Then once I hit 16 weeks she started measuring ahead, then ended up measuring almost 2 weeks ahead later on. And now at 35 weeks she was measuring right on track. Babies will grow at their own pace once they’re actually developed later on, and ultrasounds are just estimates and usually aren’t accurate for real birth weight/height.

They start by using the first day of your last period then adjust depending on babies size when your early one since all baby’s grown about the same till you start your 2ed trimester.. for instance my fist day of my last period would have made me 29 almost 39 weeks by now but I’m actually 27 since at my first appointment when I was supposed to be 8 weeks I was actually 6.. this happens to me because I had 45 day cycles not the normal 28 days

Yes, early on the measurements are more accurate.. but if you're further along and the baby is measuring bigger or smaller then that could mean issues or just that they're measuring big or small. just depends on where you're at in your pregnancy
