Birth control for acne

I want birth control for acne because my skin can be clearing up but as soon as my periods about to come all my pimples come back again. Do I just go to a regular doctor and ask about it? I’m 16 btw & Is there any other options to treat hormonal acne besides birth control? I’m just so tired of all the dark scars it leaves. My diet is pretty good lots of fruits,veggies and water. I workout everyday and wash my face 2x a day so I know it’s not my lifestyle cus I try my best. So yeah just let me know if there’s other options plssss I’m desperate
