Is it okay to go swimming in a river while pregnant?

I’m supposed to go river tubing tomorrow and my family is giving me complete hell about my decision. My mother says it’s unsafe to swim in untreated water while pregnant (I’m 9 weeks). My boyfriend is worried because I’m easily winded lately and we will be swimming a bit...and it’s a mile hike through the woods to get  to the side of the river that’s “calm”. 
I’m an excellent swimmer and I’m not worried about water safety. I’ve never in my life gotten sick from swimming in rivers or lakes. But what do you all think?

Call your Drs office and sew what they have to say. I clicked no but I meant to click yes. I don't see why it would hurt. Woman go to the beach and the lake while pregnant all the time.

I went canoeing in the river at 24 weeks pregnant swam in it and all you’ll be fine

Your cervix is closed. Nothing is going to get in there to harm the baby. Go have fun! Just drink a lot of water, use sunscreen, and be careful!

I went swimming all the time while pregnant, the only time it would be unsafe would be if you lost your mucus plug
