4D scan dangerous and harmful to baby?

The results on 4d are still inconclusive. They dont see any direct links to issues but there could be underlying issues. My OB said he doesn't support them and wont right a rec for one because he doesn't want his patients u knowingly putting their baby at risk.
I wont do them because what the baby looks like is the last surprise left in pregnancy now that we know gender before birth. I wanna save that surprise.

If a maternal-fetal specialist is using them on their patients for growth checks, I highly doubt there is any real harm. 
Maternal-fetal specialists have significantly more in-depth knowledge about the fetus and what will and will not harm them.
Anyways- it’s sound waves. Not harmful.

They’re fine. Ultrasound uses sound waves to make an image.

It’s sound waves, it can heat up the amniotic fluids and cause stress to the baby. My obgyn also said some believe the excessive amount of ultrasound may be linked to hearing problems in babies/kids. So she didn’t do them unless she had to.

Why would they be dangerous?
I had 5 scans during my pregnancy & my baby is fine.
I know some women on here have had more then that.
