Baby shower during the holidays: bad idea or not??

I know this is early, but I have a friend that lives in California and wants to throw me a baby shower when she is in town. She is only in town from December 24-31. Is that a bad idea to have a baby shower during this time??

I’d say it would be a bad time! That’s the busiest week offer year! Just except not a lot of people to show up

I think it would be way too stressful to ty to do that. People will want to focus on Christmas during that time

Bad time..... I don’t think it’s fair to ask for gifts on top of the holidays when everyone’s strapped for cash for all their families gifts and travel expenses.... that’s why we r doing ours in October

We already decided to have the baby shower either before or after thanksgiving. I’m leaning more towards the first week of December because it’ll be my moms birthday on the 3rd and if people wanna buy shower presents, Black Friday is gonna make it super cheap.
