So I’m 14 and have been wanting a remembrance tattoo for my brother who passed away two years ago. My parents were resistant at first, but there are going to let me get one for my 16th birthday. Unfortunately, other members of my family hate the idea and are really making me feel guilty about wanting it. My grandma, who I love and trust with all my heart keeps talking crap about it. Saying stuff like no one will hire me if they see a tattoo, and that people with tattoos are trashy. I love her and all of my family so much and I don’t want this to become between any of us. I can understand them being against a tattoo for someone so young, but they are really making me feel horrible about this decision. I’m absolutely sure I want this tattoo, but I also don’t want to hurt my family members. Any advice would help so much!!!
