What do or would you do?

I am grateful for all gifts!! It helps so much. But sometimes, I wish I could decline things. Example: my MIL demands I use the bassinet she used with my SO. Honestly, I don’t want to use it. Its old, been painted a million times, rickety. But she is dead set on it. How would you handle it?

My mil has sent me pics of things asking if I would like her to buy it for us that I really didn’t want and I told her if she sees anything that she likes and wants to purchase for her place so I don’t have to lug stuff from house to house that would be great. There are just some items I want specifically and things that I want that are brand new.

I would take it and say Thank you and not use it. If she asked I would say baby wouldn't sleep in it. My daughter and a few others I know wouldn't sleep in a bassinet.

Maybe suggest she keep it at hers for when you visit and baby can use it there and that way you can still have the one you want and keeping the peace/keeping her happy at the same time
