Today I went for my first prenatal appointment. Everything was going great until my doctor did an ultrasound (transvaginal). The gestational sac was there but no baby to be found. She said that it could be a miscarriage or I could be less further along than I expected and she ordered for me to come back next Monday. I was heartbroken and terrified of the unknown. My mom works at a primary care office and is close friends with my pcp so she called me for blood test. My hcg level was 58,657. I assumed I was 8 weeks along but I may only be 6 weeks! I go back in two days to see if my levels have doubled. Just looking for some stories like mine that ended positive and some encouragement!
