Okay, so my son is due in January and I am thinking about what to put on his registry for the two showers mine and my husbands families are throwing for him. The reason it’s so heavy on my mind is because we are living on a tight budget and I want to make sure my son has everything he will need and not just clothes and toys and stuff like that.

I feel bad talking like this, but once he comes it’ll be pointless for me to work, because daycare cost the same amount I make in a month.

I know a shower is to celebrate him and spoil him, but I want to make sure he gets the necessities over the other stuff. Of course I want him to have clothes and stuff, but he is set on onesies for the first 3 months. I have over 24 onesies for him for newborn and 0-3 months. I am getting hand me downs from a couple people and I am so thankful for them!

I kinda want to make a bigger point to get him diapers, wipes, medicines, bath stuff, and other necessities. (I will not ask another person to provide food for him.) I know I am his mother and need to do most, if not all, of this on my own with my husband. Just want to know if it’s appropriate to ask for these things specifically instead of other things.
