Blood sugar and sperm count

My husband is diagnosed with blood sugar level of 250 on empty stomach. He is 33. I am worried that if it will after us from getting pregnant. What are effects on blood sugar in the sperm count and mobility. We have scheduled an appointment with the doctor next week. Do help me
