Looking for fellow teacher moms. When did you start your maternity leave? Did you wait until your due date or take off sooner? I am due January 6th and was planning on just taking leave right after Christmas break. I have to use my sick leave for maternity leave and will have around 30 days. I'm a little nervous if baby comes late that we won't have as much time at home together. But I also don't see much point in coming back for a few days after Christmas and then leaving again. I teach special education preschool so I almost feel it is easier for the kids to start with the sub right after break. Thanks for any input!
