normal swelling?

just hit 37 weeks and I've noticed my feet have been swelling a lot more frequently in the last week. is this normal swelling for the last few weeks? I have an appointment on Friday so I'll be bringing it up to my ob then as well.

Your body retains fluid and ‘third spaces’ which is basically extravascular fluid. As long as your blood pressure isn’t high then it’s completely normal. That’s my foot after a workday lol it’s so depressing lol but we have ‘blood pressure parties’ at work and mine is always the lowest.

Exactly how my feet look. mine are pretty stiff  by late afternoon. as long as your labs, BP and no other swelling like in your face or hands, it might be the norm for you like it is for me 😒😒. definitely get everything checked.

Yes and no, my feet are the same but it turns out I have gestational hypertension and at risk of developing preeclampsia. I'm being induced Thursday night. Yours might be normal pregnancy swelling or it could be high blood pressure. They will most likely check your urine and of course your BP.

I’m 36+3 and my feet are starting to look like that. I wear my compression socks and make sure I drink enough water with lemon. I have to watch the sodium because I know that is contributing it. So long as your blood pressure is ok, you’re not getting headaches or changes in vision, you should be ok!

I’m almost 36 wks and have just now started to have swelling in my feet like that. It seems to happen on days when I eat bad (high sodium) and don’t get enough water. Once you are home for the night, prop them up and guzzle some water. Watch for headaches and check your blood pressure if you’ve got a monitor at home. It can be a sign of preeclampsia but it’s also normal in healthy pregnancy too. Just mention to your doctor at your next regular visit as long as no other pre-e signs pop up with it. Here’s my chubby feet today!
