Sooooo I had my baby 4 months ago. My baby shower was supposed to be Saturday March 17th but I was admitted to the hospital on the 16th because I had a drs appointment and they saw the protein in my urine was high and my blood pressure was through the roof. I was 32 weeks pregnant. I was moved to the ICU on Sunday because an MRI showed that my lungs had blood clots, I couldn’t breathe, and my liver and kidneys were shutting down. They decided to induce me that night!! Throughout Labor my breathing got worse it felt like an elephant was on my chest. 10am Monday morning I was in Labor in a small ICU room struggling to breathe while 27 students stood and watched without helping. My hospital is a medical college and since my case was so “unique” they had a class observe me. It got so bad that they had me on oxygen and they had to do an emergency c-section to get my daughter out that At 11:13. I woke up on Thursday in the ICU with a tube down my throat because I still wasn’t well enough to breathe on my own. My baby was in the NICU with jaundice. She stayed there for 28 days, I stayed for 16 days. Today we are both alive and well even though I will have a heart condition forever. I’m just blessed to be alive AND PROUD OF MY POSTPARTUM BODY and wanted to share. 😂 BEWARE OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
