Where do you put your used clothes?

Where do you put clothes that you've used a day or so, that are not dirty so they don't need to be washed but they're still used so they can't go back to the wardrobe? I always put them on The Chair, from which they always slide down on the floor and then my dog thinks they're a dog bed so he sleeps on them and then they get hairy and dirty and then I have to wash them, even though they've only been used one time and I know it's so wasteful 🙈 I need solutions to my problem!
