Misoprostol (cytotec) time to effect and time needed off

Sorry for anyone that relates to having to go through a missed miscarriage and taking misoprostol. Its been sadness/ denial/ anger/ guilt/ etc

Some background- Been trying for 12 months, finally has the magical positive, at first 10 wk scan found to be dating 6 weeks with dropping hcg.

No spotting, no cramps. First pregnancy.

I want to take the medicine ASAP to heal and move forward, but it’s just terrible timing with crazy next two weeks with out of town visitors staying with us, plans to go camping, work conference etc. I am not planning to share the miscarriage with others bc I’m just not ready to... I have a very supportive hubby and plan to keep it between us (and this community!)

For anyone that has taken the medicine:

Could you please share how long it took for the medicine to start working, how long did severe pain last, when were you able to be out and about, go to work etc

Any tips... dreading it so much but also want to move on...

my doctor said since I’ve never given birth, no spotting, it can take 12-24 hrs to work... I’m reading a lot of other ppl saying it worked quicker. I was instructed to take it orally in cheek.
