FSH level 9.5

FSH level is 9.5, is this a good number? Im not even sure what FSH hormone really is. Im sure my Dr. will send me an email but it’s early in the morning here, so i thought I’d ask you ladies to see if you had any insight on these levels. I’m so new to all of this.

I just turned 40 in November. I removed my Paragard IUD on May 23rd, (after 9 years) I had a period on May 28, which was 5 days late but I haven’t had a period since then. My OBGYN started me on Provera yesterday. Oh and another thing, I had a positive opk on 7/10 & 7/11.
