How to transition from bottle?

Hi all - I’ve been trying to transition my daughter from bottle to either sippy cup (Nuk), straw bottle, and the Munchkin 360 but she just hasn’t been getting it. Any tips???

What are you putting in it? And does your LO like trying new foods/drinks?
My baby goes wild over anything new, especially if we pretend to drink it first. I would start with the sippy as put some juice in it (I always water it down) and see if that motivates her because it’s not the same old thing. Then go for the straw once she gets the hang of that. The 360 cups take work to get stuff out of, I tried it once after not understanding why my baby was getting so mad at it. It is challenging at first so that might be better saved for last.

We had a very hard time with this as well. The only sippy cup that worked for us was one with a silicone mouth piece. It’s a nuk cup I bought at target, it comes with 2 mouth pieces. One is a bottle piece and the other is a traditinal sippy cup piece. We let her get used to the cup after a few days we swapped the mouth piece.

I pretty much switched cold turkey when my kiddo turned 1yr. It wasnt too difficult, he was doing juice in sippys already. Now he drinks whole milk too

After we had our oldest on milk instead of formula, we started putting only water in her bottles and milk in sippy cups (juice was always in sippy cups), and so if she wanted anything other than water she would use the sippy cup (both were always available, so it wasn't like we were depriving her). She understood and dropped them about two weeks after she turned one. This little babe is taking a bit longer to switch to milk, but we're working on it and plan on doing the same method. good luck!
