DockATot worth the purchase??

Question

Does anyone have a DockATot Delux? Just wanted to know if it is worth the $175-195. They are super cute and seem like they would help our little girl sleep as she likes to roll around a lot.

My grandparents got us one and honestly I use it more than anything else so far. He was always waking up in his bassinet and wasn’t able to get a solid sleep until we started to use the dockatot. For instance, he’d last 30 mins in the bassinet napping where he can go about an hour an a half in the dockatot. I think he likes that it mimics being held. I was one of those people who swore they wouldn’t co sleep but with this I feel comfortable. We have a nice huge bed and can lay him in the middle in his own little bed. Makes breastfeeding or rebinking so much easier. Plus if he’s asleep and I want to go to another part of the house, I can just pick the whole thing up and take him easy without waking him. Also it’s so convenient when visiting anyone, you have a instant bed that you can place anywhere for a quick nap. I know it’s expensive but for us it’s so worth it!

I contemplated purchasing one for a few months and even went to target to buy one, and the material honestly felt so cheap that I decided against it. I can’t say anything about whether they work, but I just couldn’t justify the paying that much for essentially an over priced pillow. My LO was sleeping 8 hours in her rock n play but I wanted to get her out and used to sleeping stationary. I ended up rolling up a towel into a U shape and put it under the sheet in her pack and play so she feels cradled still but isn’t being rocked all night lol. The first two nights she slept for 4 hour intervals and now she’s back to sleeping her 8. And I didn’t have to spend any extra money on a baby item that is outgrown in a few months.

We love ours! Just be very careful. The sides are not breathable and while sleeping babies have suffocated. We have an owlet that monitors our LO’s breathing and heart rate so we felt good about him sleeping in it, but if we didn’t have that I would not let my baby sleep in it unattended.

I don’t have one but I would look into the snuggle me organic. It’s similar but if I was to get one I’d get the snuggle me one over doc a tot.

Totally worth the money!! We were gifted one and it is by far our most used item. For the first two weeks of Harpers life she co slept with us using her dock. Then we used her dock to transition to her crib. She is not fully in her crib at 3 months old. However the dock is now used when I’m in the kitchen, in her bedroom floor while I’m doing laundry or even when I read to her!!
