Noisy cat + new baby
I have an extremely loving, needy Siamese who my husband and I absolutely adore. She’s so sweet and sleeps with me every night and must be in whatever room we’re in.
The only downside is she’s LOUD. 24/7 and at all hours, she’s meowing. I’m 6 months pregnant with my first but she’s always been this way, even when we had another cat around the house (his moms).
As of late we had to move in with his mom due to a pipe burst and she now has two cats. One is her half sister whom she’s used to and does not get along with. The other is a big chubby beautiful tabby. She and tabby get along really well and all the sudden she’s QUIET. She seems the most content I’ve ever seen her. There’s also a screened porch here she can be in which she loves.
She only meows when she wants food or responding to our calls. I’m dumbfounded, as she’s never been so happy.
Problem is in a week we’re moving back home and she’ll be coming with - but it has been pure bliss being around her without the constant (heavily annoying) meows. But I can’t just leave her here, she’s happiest being around us and his mom loves her tabby too much to let us keep her tabby at our house. (We live under a mile away)
What would you do? I love her way too much to leave her here but worry having her at home meowing all the time isn’t the best idea for her or the new baby. Help!
