Advice please!

Kate

On Thursday morning I got a call from the vet, one of my cats, Marmite, had been brought in. He had likely been hit by a car and had died. To say I'm devastated is such an understatement. He really was the most wonderful cat. I have had Marmite and his brother, Sammy, since they were 18 months and they are now 6. They certainly did a lot of play fighting, but boy did they love each other! Sammy has definitely worked out something is wrong and spends most of his time either by our sides, walking round the house meowing, or searching round the garden for his brother. You can tell he is really missing him and generally seems a bit depressed. We are giving him so many cuddles and trying to get him to play with his toys, which he normally loves, but he's just not interested in the toys. Has anyone else been through something like this and has advice for how we can cheer him up? Picture is of Marmite, miss him so much!
