My EDD is August 9th but I have a scheduled c-section for August 2nd (3rd c-section at 39 weeks). I have know it will be August 2nd for MONTHS and anytime anyone asks what my due date is, I say August 2nd. EVERYONE, except my sister who is my BFF, on both sides of our families think it’s some other day. My mom thought the 3rd, MIL the 5th, our Aunt thought the 4th. And then when I tell them August 2nd, so in 4-5 days, they are all so surprised and shocked that it’s so soon and kind of panic not realizing August is literally this next week. Has no one bothered to pay attention to anything I have said for the past few months?! At least I said something otherwise they would have been shocked when we call them on Thursday.

Aside from that, I HATE how everyone only cares how many weeks I am and say I am having the baby “early” since my doctor is encouraging labor (stripping my membranes last week as I can try for a VBAC if I can go into labor without medication). I am 38 + 3 right now. It’s between me and my doctor and they should all shut up and not tell me when and how to have my baby.

I don’t know why this has made me so annoyed but just needed to vent.
