Does your 2 year old rely on a binkie?

My 2 year old does not take a binkie during the day but when it comes to naps or bedtime he breaks down if he doesn’t have it.. I feel like he’s getting to old for one even if it is to just sleep with. Am I wrong? Is he ok to have one, is it normal? Or is he getting too old. If so, what are some tips/advice you can give me to break him from it??

my son used his for sleeping, car rides, and when he was grumpy. I'm expecting twins and we decided to wait until after to get rid of it since it seemed he needed it. He lost his last one on a bike ride, we explain to him what happened and he barely asked for it again. I never thought that possible. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm glad to say it was so much easier than I thought.

Mine never took one so i cant talk from experience,BUT I just weaned my daughter from breastfeeding a week ago. I wanted her to wean on her own but i am pregnant and i could bot take the pain anymore. She was breastfeeding at least 20 times per day i think, so what i did i put vinegar on my breast and told her boobiies got old. I actually expected the process to ‭involve a lot of tears but she did not cry!! She was just upset for 2 days at nap time and when she smells it she says oh boobie got old. So maybe u can try a similar technique. Good luck
