Sleep Paralysis, have u experienced this?

I’ve experienced this phenomenon many times off and on over the years since I was young, sometimes going years and years between “dreams” and I’ve always been curious.. soo, with that being said I’d like to hear others experiences with sleep paralysis or any other did bits of info one may have, thank u in advance☺️😇

To prevent it though sleep in your side or belly, because the spirits can only hold u down if your faced up.

I’ve had it had quite a few times since I was young and mostly when I was 18-19 years old, never seen any figures or people, but I’ve often felt like someone was in the room with me as I would feel extremely anxious, even had an out of body once. But when I was 18-19 I was getting them atleast once a night, and at the time I lived with my boyfriend(at the time) and I didn’t say anything for a few weeks till I had the out of body episode.. -in that specific one I had opened my bedroom door(mind u, we slept on the top bunk lol, he had a lot of brothers and sisters in a 3bedroom house & ‘the boys room’ consisted of two bunk beds that were all filled) and was walking down the Long hallway in the dark feeling along the walls trying to flip the lights on(frantically) and a glowing light that kinda hovered was coming towards me and I remember feeling extremely anxious and extremely frantic trying to get the lights on(which never did) but as this light would stop a few feet from me and then as I would reverse the way it came id feel a few moments of calm and proceed down the hallway and then it would return doing the same thing and I would immediately get pack into panic mode searching for the switch and then calm again as it left and it was dark again, it did this once more till I was finally in the kitchen and once it left the final time that’s where my dream must’ve ended because that’s all I remember. -so as I woke up and told my bf about this he just kinda stood there and stared at me, calmly grabbed my hand and took me into his parents room who were still asleep(around 5:00am I was helping him getting off to work) we walked in and without saying anything to them he turn the light on and they immediately woke and sat up in bed and he said “now tell my parents exactly what u just told me” so I did and they both got up right then and were saying a whole bunch in they’re native language(Hmong), not sure exactly what was said but his mom was on the phone calling shaman to come to the house, my bf didn’t even go to work that day. Sooo, three Hmong shaman came to the house, did some kind of chants and threw special herbs and stuff in all corners of the house, one held my hands as I was in a praying fetal position sitting on my knees and said quite a few words and he blessed a knife(it was a mini machete type sword/knife but since my bf was on parole that wouldn’t have been good to have in our room, in case his P.O. had came to do a random search) so he then blessed a butter knife and tied a string to it and instructed me to sleep with it under my pillow, I did and I didn’t have anymore sleep paralysis dreams for about 7 years and it was only once with a break of about three years until I was getting them pretty frequently the last half of 2017, but since I moved to my new townhouse last December I haven’t had one.

Omg one of my most terrifying experiences was when I woke and I saw this giant dark mass hovering over my bed. 
My eyes were blurry but it looked like it was only 3 feet above me. 
I wanted to move and wake my husband but I couldn’t  - my heart was racing so hard. When I was able to speak, I shook and asked him if he was seeing it too - because hes had a lot of paranormal experiences - and he asked what I was talking about (grumpily lol) 
I thought, shit! he can’t see it!
 I said “that black thing above us!!” and he replied...
“ those are my shirts”

He had hung his T-shirt’s on the pipes above our bed to dry (all black), after I had gone to sleep. We lived in an industrial style loft so it had exposed pipes he’d conveniently use them to hang-dry his shirts. 
I seriously felt so dumb 😂😂😂 he wasn’t thrilled I had woke him either lol!

I just had my first sleep paralysis experience the other night😰!  I was looking at moth memes the night before (don’t judge me...I was wanting to see what all the hype was about) and then I woke up at 5 a.m. and saw the BIGGEST F-ING MOTH IN MY ROOM!  So, I crept out of my room and went into my mom’s room and we went back to my room and she turned on my lights.  THERE WAS NO MOTH!  I thought I was delusional!  When we talked about it later that day, she said that I was half asleep half awake, and I guess it makes sense?...
And today, I woke up AT 5 A.M!  I was just like, “Oh HELL NAH BITCH!  I’m not having sleep paralysis for the SECOND TIME IN A ROW!!!” I tucked my head under my covers and I fell asleep!  These past two days have been WEIRD for me...😅😂😥

Dunno the origin but I had several episodes and were freaking. Once I couldn’t move and had strange people around me and they looked like they were praying. Other, and after a few years had people holding candles and dressed in white. Looked like a ritual and I then became pregnant and only could confirm this when I was 24 weeks gestation. Had episodes of not been able to move and wanted to scream and nothing came out from my mouth. Usually I woke up frightened. However, it has been a few years around 4 to 5 that I didn’t experience anything.

I didn't like the feeling at all, the worst thing to happen while you're sleeping, I have heard it can make u drift and don't return, don't know how true but there's what I heard.

Every time this happens to me it feels like I'm awake but I can't move or breathe. But theres always a dark shadow watching me from the corner of my room and I can clearly remember it was tall and scrawny. It did not feel like it had any good intentions. I could feel it was enraged at me. Everytime I would blink, it got closer and closer until suddenly, I can feel a huge force lift and I could move and breathe. But once I check to see if its still there, it was gone. My twin sister and I could tell if something was wrong (she has sleep paralysis too) so if one twin felt off, we'd wake up and move them until it would stop. It's the scariest thing.
