Right before labor?????

Question

I'm a first time mom and I'm curious if the baby moves a lot before labor like during contractions? I get Braxton hicks right before I fall asleep and baby tends to move a lot.

When you are in labour, you don't really notice movements a whole lot as there's so much else going on. I never noticed a change in baby movements before labour started, I looked back on my last birth journal and the day before, I had had a nap that day, and still felt super tired, I wasn't very hungry and skipped dinner that night. Dh & I bd'd that night and I was in labour 6 hours later after my waters went with a trickle in bed and a gush as I changed my underwear after.. Then it was all on.

While in labor mine moved a lot, then as I got closer to being in active labor he settled down.

I had to ask my sister in law that. She just had her first in April. I asked her if I should be concerned if my baby girl doesn't move as much or if she moves a lot during contractions. She said her son didn't move during the contractions that she noticed, she said you are more preoccupied with the controlling the contraction pain. But it's a question I'm asking Thursday at my appointment!

That's a good question. My baby has been very active at night when I get the most of my Braxton Hix contractions as well. I hope it's a good sign
