Love the name, hate the style?

Idk if that title makes sense. Here’s our dilemma. My husband & I love the Dallas Cowboys (our whole family is huge football fabe), so we want to name our son Dallas. However, we’re not “country” at all but the name kind of is. Would you consider this name country?

My friend has a son named Dallas who is now 18 yrs old as well as one of my husbands best friends is named Dallas. Neither of them are “country”. I think your sons personality will determine how his name sounds. If that makes sense. I love the name!

I don’t really think it’s “country”, the origin is actually Scottish. I think it’s a nice name as long as you don’t live in Texas especially in or near the city of Dallas. 
You could also name him after a Cowboys player with a less common name like Emmitt, or use a last name as a first name like Bryant or Prescott.

It's a little country, I mean you're naming him after a team called the cowboys, it doesn't really get more country than that lol. But it's an adorable name and it has special meaning to you, so you should use it!
