I need allll the breastfeeding/pumping details. Please help me out!

Bonnie

I want to breastfeed when I give birth. I breastfed my son but was only able to for 6 months due to not drinking enough water, as I was kinda uneducated about it. I have some obvious questions maybe, but I want to breastfeed and pump together. The internet gives advice, but I want your guys input and What has worked great for you. If you could answer my questions that would be great.

-how long after birth do I wait to start pumping?

-do I pump one breast as he’s feeding on the other?

-when should I pump if he’s not eating at the moment? (Sleeping for example)

I would like to pump and breastfeed at the same time, but I have no idea what time increments I should be doing it. Or is it different from everyone? I really need advice from someone that really knows what their doing. I understand I need to eat a lot and drink alot of fluid.

-what Time is the best time to pump?

-is milk supply kept up better with on demand feeding or at a certain time?

- for example. If I feed him, from breast A, I’ll have let down on breast B. Should I get a haakaa to catch from B? And then when it’s time for the next feeding, should I switch him to the other (B)?

I may sound like a idiot well at least I feel that way but I want to make sure I do it right.

I know it’s alotof questions out of order but I have a lot of questions. These are the things I don’t know how to do in order to breastfeed successfully
