So I had my 39w check up today. Baby is thankfully still head down and possibly engaging, but my cervix is still pretty firm.

I have my appointment with the specialist tomorrow. They will make the call whether they think it’s safe enough to let me go one more week or whether I will be induced tomorrow night.

Although my doctor admitted she’d prefer to wait if they will let her. Otherwise I have to have the insert to soften the cervix overnight and she admitted it’s a long and grueling process and makes for an exhausting labor.

If they say I can wait, she’s rescheduling me for my due date on the 14th and will check my cervix again on Friday.

Please send prayers my way that I soften and dilate some in the next 8 days🙏. I’m worried this is going to be a long and painful labor if not.
