would you work days or nights?

I'm a single mother of a newborn baby boy, I don't want him daycare but I need a job. I don't want to miss him growing and learning and playing. My mom offered to watch him at night if I were to work nights.

If she offering to watch him so you can work nights I would go for it. But keep in mind you're going to be very exhausted. Working all night and then getting home by the time your baby is waking up and ready to play for the day :/

Being a single mom I imagine is tough. If you can handle working nights than by all means work the nights. Be with your baby during the day, make your money at night & save money on childcare by having your mom watch baby. Also, your baby will get to bond with his grandma which I am sure she would love! :)

I work nights and have a 2 year old. The lack of sleep can be hard, but it has been totally worth it for me. I feel like I get the best of both worlds. I'm home with my daughter all day, and the only time I miss with her is while she is asleep. It's like getting to be a SAHM plus having income.

My mom is a nurse at a hospital and she works night shifts because it pays more

I worked nights with a 3 year old and it was HARD. You come home and won't wake up until around 2ish. Most of the time husband couldn't take care of him so I had to "sleep" on the living room with him. 
Now that I will have a newborn, I don't think I will survive working nights. Babies are constant in need of something... Every two hours to be fed... Changed... Played with.. Than be energy less for night time.. I'm a nurse so I am constantly on the go. So I'm sure I will work days. Sometimes we have to do sacrifices.
