How should I get it?

I want to get a tattoo for my dad should I get the tattoo artist to add a date and daddy or just leave it like it is. Ik the editing is bad but it’s just a rough draft.

If it's already for your dad I often ask clients to not turn their tattoos into a 'grocery list' where they feel the need to add dates and names and everything else under the sun when the image itself is supposed to speak for itself for the reason of why you're getting it. So I'd personally opt out of the dates and word  
Also, if it's for him I'd suggest to try and make it more personal somehow! Ive seen designs copied like this over and over and overrrr and they just all look the same. I'm sure he is special and one of a kind to you so make your tattoo just as original and one of a kind as you can. (Your artist should be able to offer some ideas)

I love the edited one! I’ve never seen it done like that. If you have a card or something where he signed “daddy”, I think it would be cool to use his handwriting
