Water for formula

Hi all!

FTM to an 11 day old little girl who is exclusively formula fed. (Sadly I’ve had issues producing enough milk for her.)

My question is, what kind of water is best for formula? There is so much conflicting information online and I am really trying to stay away from ‘dr google’ as my hospital referred to it.

We boil our tap water for formula, but up until last night completely forgot that it’s hard water. (We have public well so water is treated.)

Is this ok? We just went out and purchased a water filter in order to filter the water before boiling but are we better off using bottled nursery water? I want to make sure I am making the right choices for my little girl and it is just so overwhelming. (As if the mommy guilt of not breastfeeding isn’t enough.)
