To stock pile or not, and what to stock pile.

So I'm expecting my first and I've received some gift cards that I would like to use for diapers and wipes but I have no idea what diapers are the best and what wipes are, I like the idea of the water wipes or the pampers aqua pure but after reading reviews I'm not sure how I feel about them. Also I have no idea what diapers will work with my baby and what won't so should I stock pile and keep receipts or should I wait and then go buy what works. I have a few boxes of Nb and size 1 the Nb are Huggies snuggles and the size 1 is pampers. I also have sample packages of both. And I have a few sample packages of different wipes. Help me! There are way too many brands and types.
