Dilated but no contractions?

Question

I’m due in 7 days and I’m already dilated 6cm but I haven’t experienced any contractions yet. Did anyone else experience this? If you did, how dilated were you before you started feeling contractions, then how long until you went to the hospital? My doctor said my cervix is still a little thick and baby isn’t low enough yet but my cervix is in the right spot.

Yep dilated to a 5 no contractions do they broke my waters then. Felt the contractions after that!!! but made labour heaps quick

Me! The only reason I knew I was in labor was bc I thought my water broke when they checked if it was amniotic fluid the test came out negative, but  I was 7cm dialated and baby was pressing on my bladder. I was admitted then and there. They said they couldn't let me go home being 7 cm dialated
