When to tell people

I am 12 weeks pregnant today, however I don’t have my “official scan” until next Thursday (I’ll be 13 weeks then).  When should I tell people?.. could I tell people just now or wait until the scan? suggestions would be much appreciated 🤰🏼

I’d personally wait for the scan, check all progressing ok and have a picture to announce with

Personally I’d wait for the scan. I don’t want to scare you as it was a low chance thing to happen, but I announced at 11w and 5 days and then on the scan two days later, the heart had stopped. Worst. Experience. Ever. Moreso than my other miscarriage for which I hadn’t announced, but that’s me.

i don’t have another scan until 21 weeks but if everything is good at 12 weeks, i’m totally telling everyone on earth if they’ll listen! lol

I waited until my scan yesterday to announce to close friends and extended family (which was conveniently at 12 weeks 1 day). But if my scan had been further out, I would’ve waited until that point. But you do what feels best! Statistically, your baby is probably just fine.
