All Charges Dropped

In 2016 a girl went left to center, hitting and killing two people. Because she was on her cell phone. My state has a no-device law for parties under 18, and she was 16 when this happened. Her being on her phone was illegal at the time. The closing statement from both sides of her case.

What they don’t say is that she openly admitted to her friends in school that she didn’t feel guilty they’re dead. She’s shown no remorse. Also, what it doesn’t say, is that her father is the judge in the county this took place, so her bench trial was moved to my county. Neighboring counties, and no jury to make this decision.

Also what this doesn’t say (published prior to ruling) all her charges were dropped.

What do you think? Should she have gotten off just based on this information here? Not even community service for killing two teenagers?

I will hold off sharing my official opinion because I want to hear everyone’s without debating mine.
