Didn’t have it my last pregnancy, but my new dr office offers to everyone...  I’m under 35, but have had a previous late loss.

Im having one around 13 weeks.

Yes, I figure it’s a noninvasive way to get info. I’m not sold on amino yet but if NT shows something and the blood test shows something that’ll give me info to prepare, but I’m not aure I could go with the invasive options with the risk of miscarriage.

Thinking about it, my husband's brother has downs syndrome (although it's most likely related to advanced maternal age) But I want to know sooner rather than later if our baby is going to have health issues. I haven't decided if I want to do the bloodwork or the scan yet. My insurance wont cover the bloodwork but I know the scan can have a lot of false alarms and inconclusives.

I did it with my first just because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have an ultrasound till 20 weeks. Not planning on it this time since I had a 9 week ultrasound. Plus they stressed me out at that one with my first saying it looked like the intestines were still in the cord...yea that was normal for my gestation but they didn’t say that and had me come back a week later and I was terrified something was wrong.
