Annoyed

I don't know If this is where to post this but I hate when people act like they can't read a name just because they have never seen it before and they don't Even try to sound it out! I'm a highschool English teacher and this semester I have a girl named Alveona and Shanedra. They both said they've never had someone able to pronounce their name before ans just give them Nick names they they don't like. Just sound names out! Not like they're given crazy spellings like I see some poor kids with. My oldest daughter name is Deciana and people act like they can'r read it but it's pronounced how it's spelled (dee-see-ahna)
