Anybody ever got a tongue piercing??

Considering getting one. How bad did it hurt?? What was the healing time 😊

Didnt hurt at all. The clamp they used was the worst part. The healing part hurt a bit too. My ti gue swelled up fir about 3 days and was tender and sore for about a week. Everyone is different with healing. But it's the least painful piercing to get. 
Just a warning though, it can mess with your teeth. Accidentally biting the ring will chip your teeth. Uve never had it happen but I dont use metal balls either. Plastic is best.

And you will swallow a lot of tongue rings. Dont freak out. It happens.

I agree with another comment that it's the least painful piercing by far! I had mine done over 15 years ago (definitely showing my age here & feeling old 😟) & only kept it in for a year or 2, but the hole is STILL THERE! I wish I hadn't done it b/c it really messed up my gums behind my bottom front teeth & that's one area that can't be fixed -- it's not worth having my teeth fall out!! I would run that area in my mouth constantly, especially while chewing food. The worst part is that I really only got it to see if I could hide it from teachers for an entire year of high school, which I assumed wouldn't happen, but it did!

Anyway, it's not painful, but it swells up so bad the first few days to the point I kept thinking I was swallowing my tongue. It was such a weird feeling!! After that, I really didn't even notice it was there!

I did at one point in my life. Lasted a week ... I hated it ! Piercing didn't hurt just couldn't stand the swelling after.

Got mine pierced 3 times and to me it didn't hurt, it actually felt good.

The pain subsided pretty quickly I don't really remember it being too painful.

I do recall for about 4 days right after having to eat softer foods cuz it swelled up pretty bad.

You have to use flavorless mouth wash w/out sugar for a couple weeks after. That was the worst to me. To this day I can't stand the smell. You have to rinse with it everytime you eat, drink, smoke or kiss. I kept bottles of it everywhere my purse, car, work, nightstand.

I have my tongue pierced .. The piercing didn't hurt at all it was my least painful nd the healing didn't hurt for me either was a bit swollen was uncomfortable to eat but didn't hurt

It didn't hurt too bad. Maybe the healing but i ate a lot of ice so it healed pretty fast. To me the monroe hurted..especially afterwards.

I have mine done. I have other piercings as well. The tongue was one of the least painful. It swelled for about a week. I would drink some hot coffee or tea and it helped. Also, ibuprofen.
