My car got rear ended today while partner and I were headed out. We were at a dead stop and we think the guy that hit us was doing about 50 or 60km/hr. Being almost 17 weeks pregnant I was a bit worried about bub and the doctors managed to fit us in, the nurse was super good and looked for a heart beat with the doppler because she saw I waa freaking out. She did find one. But the doctor wasnt mine or one I had seen before (being a Sunday) and he was basically like, what do you want me to do? And i was still kinda in shock and panicking and was like uhh I would love to know if my baby is ok?!

He basically carried on that he highly doubted anything would be wrong regardless of how hard we were hit and he couldnt really do anything but check for a heart rate although that wouldnt tell him if there was any more damage or he could print off an ultrasound referral, although his suggestion was do nothing?!

Was I overreacting to say I wanted the ultrasound?

Obviously no where was open today but I am hoping somewhere can fit me in tomorrow.

Other than bub I wasnt overly hurt just some whiplash etc so thats why we opted to skip the long wait at the ER and just go to the doctors.
