Sex???

My boyfriend wants sex every day, and if we don't have it, he gets really angry at me and it causes a huge argument. He thinks that I ignore his needs when I decline sex. I'm just not in the mood very much these days but we still have sex at least 3-4 times a week. Anyone else going through this? How do I try and explain to him without causing more arguments??

That's not okay. And you shouldn't "have to" pleasure him in other ways, either. He needs to respect you. That is a huge red flag to me and not normal.

He needs to grow up. He's being selfish and manipulative. You should never feel forced into having sex. Being in a relationship doesn't give him the right to coerce you. I am very pregnant right now, and not in the mood for sex. My husband understands this and respects my mind and body. I do sometimes 'take care' of him because I want him to feel loved and appreciated, but if I'm not feeling it, I can't force it.

I can tell you from personal experience..this behavior is not ok, and it will leak into other aspects of your life. An ex of mine started with this and eventually began controlling every thing I did by making me feel guilty, or like I needed to do or not do things to keep him happy. Don't fall into this trap! It's hard to get out of!

You should never be pressured into any kind of sexual act. Ever. He needs to be introduced to his friend righty. Because he needs to understand you're carrying his baby and you will not always want it.

Lovely! I love passive aggressive men who have this immature notion that sex is a daily right to them. Your vagina isn't a 24/7 convenience store for his 'needs'. If he gets angry because you aren't 'putting out' let him. Your energy should be concentrated on your healthy pregnancy not on making sure his bone is smooched. He needs to grow up and get real about what really matters in your relationship. A baby changes everything, and most definately your sex lives.

How old is he? Younger guys tend to act this way. In a sense this is a bit of a controlling measure. I heard once if there's sex every single day, it's a form of abuse, as it tends to be for the control. I don't know him, so I don't want to say he's a bad guy, or an abuser. But what I've learned is what I'm sharing.

It also depends on the relationship you ad prior to becoming pregnant, was sex higher on the priority list?

Sex should be something you both want. Not just what he wants, and you let him "get off" to leave you alone. If you don't feel like sex, he can handle business himself for the time you are out of commission or not feeling like it. Sex becomes different for us after we get pregnant, mentally or just because we feel like crap!

My younger relationships I definitely ran into this a lot. And even with my husband now, here and there. We have 4 kids and pregnant again. I don't want us to just rush, but most the time we have to, which makes it not quite as fun!

Good luck. I think we've all felt this in a relationship, and hope you guys can find other ways that is comfortable to share intimacy without just wanting to get to the "finishing" part!!
