With my son it was just my sister. SO left me 2 months before he was born, my mom ran off with some guy 3 weeks before. So all I had was her. She was enough. This time it will be my fiance and my sister

I had several people with me. My ex (daughters Bio dad), my mom, my oldest sister, and my bestfriend (my daughters God mother).

This time, it will most likely be just my SO and I.

When my oldest was born my mom, nana, student nurse,midwife, and sister were in the room. When I had my youngest it was just me, 2 nurses, and my midwife (my mom hightailed the second she could)... Dad was on business & showed up an hr after he was born, and then everyone else flooded my room. 😒

My husband, my step mom, and my best friend. I'm going to have my step mom and best friend rotate and let my grandmother, mother and mother in law come in to see me. When it's time to push whoevers in there will stay.

I really only want my husband there with me, but I feel like my mother in law will be hurt if she isn't there. I just feel like the birth of my child is a pretty private moment for me and my husband.

I see this discussion a lot on here and wonder if it's More an American thing to have your mum and such in the room. I couldn't think of anything worse than my family seeing me legs up screaming etc. ny husband alone will be with me.
